Dicor Roof-Gard EPDM professional strength rubber roof acrylic coating. Part two of a two step process. One gallon covers 125 square feet. Two coats required. For use over EPDM and TPO material.
Before applying, roof must be cleaned and primed with RP-CRP-Q Dicor EPDM Rubber Roof Primer/Cleaner.
Dicor EPDM Roof Acrylic Coating is the second part of a two-part, commercial grade system. It must follow the application of RP-CRP-Q Dicor’s Rubber Roof Cleaner/Activator that ensures effective roof preparation and “lock and key” adhesion.
Made specifically for your RV rubber roof, the conveniently packaged acrylic coating is ready to use, easy to apply and has a coverage rate of 1 gallon per 125 square feet. Two coats are required.
The roof coating contains no harmful petroleum distillates, harsh abrasives or citric ingredients that can cause irreparable harm.
Application: WHITE ACRYLIC COATING must be preceded with DICOR CLEANER/ACTIVATOR to ensure proper adhesion. All cleaner/activator must be completely removed from roof prior to applying acrylic coating. All surfaces must be clean and free of residue or loose particles, degraded substrate, grease, oil, dirt, or other contaminates. Surfaces shall be completely dry and frostfree before coating. Deteriorated or damaged substrates shall be repaired or replaced. DICOR ACRYLIC COATING shall be applied in a minimum of 2 coats at a rate of 1 gallon per 125 sq. ft per coat (i.e. 8' X 30' roof takes 4 gallons). Actual gallons required will depend on the type of surface and texture, method of application, and weather conditions at the time of application. All surfaces must be uniformly coated and free from voids, pinholes, or blisters.
Preparation: Thoroughly mix the contents for a minimum of 5 minutes prior to application. DICOR ACRYLIC COATING may be applied by medium nap roller or brush. Clean equipment with water and a universal cleaner.
Notes: * Any caulking with Dicor lap sealants should be done 2 weeks prior to applying the EPDM coating.
* Coating must be applied in one day.
* Do NOT wash roof prior to applying activator/cleaner.
* Must have 3 hours of sun after second coat for drying.
* Applied to EPDM or TPO roofs that are typically 10-12 years old. Newer roofs may just need cleaning and a sprayed with a UV protectant once or twice a season.
